Narrative
This clip suggest that it is related to high school and troubled teenagers since the new arrival of Gabriella Wark. It also introduces the character who is the new principle for the school. The new principle is here to imporve the school. This may not go to plan as the new bad girl is introduced and she may make the principles goals harder for him. The parents of the new character Gabriella are rich and the students of the school may look at her differently as well as her looking at them differently.

Character
In this Tv Drama there are loads of stereotypes such as "cool kids" who have behanviour issues and are rude to staff and students as well as damaging the school properties. There are kids such as "nerd" who are known as good students and complete there homeworks and they obey the school rules. There are also some students who are "rich and spoilt" also and example is Gabriella who thinks shes better than others because her parents treats her with more expensive products than normal people.

In Waterloo Road there are many iconography such as uniform to show that they are in school as its based on school drama. Also is shows students wearing there bags as well as having there subject books and there school equipment. From this we can see its associated with school-work etc.

Setting
It is clear that its set in a high school inparticular where a lot of events happen such as students fighting, bad behaviour towards staff and class distruptions. This also relates to day to day life that happens in school in reality. It is also mainly based on teenagers.
